Thank you, 50 Playwrights Project, for your endorsement of Brenda Blender's campaign to nourish the soul of America! If Brenda existed outside of the world of the play, I know she would be honored to be named an honorable mention. Congrats to all the other campaign managers! May all our plays some day soon make the journey from our private imaginations into the public consciousness.

After all the sticky notes and all the dancing, after accidentally falling asleep for six hours, after getting caught in a traffic jam, after bribing the voters with whiskey and glittery stickers, Shark Play emerged victorious at the 1st Annual J-Star 24-Hour Play Festival. Shout out to all the makers of Shark Play: E. A. Francis, Sol Patches, Agnotti Benedict, and Alyssa Vera Ramos. Can't wait to see where these sharks swim next!
This week I'm traveling out to the Miracle Center (TMC) of Chicago to lead a three-day playwriting intensive as a part of TMC's Barrio Project . Nothing more I love more than working with other young writers. Look out for the Barrio Project's final performance in December!
